Tuition is set at an hourly rate. The rate for the first half hour of instruction per week is $60 per month. This means that one 30-minute class per week is $60 per month, 45 minutes of instruction per week is $65 per month, 60 minutes of instruction per week is $70 per month, and so on.
The full tuition schedule is as follows:
Instruction Time Cost/month
30 minutes (half-hr) $60
45 minutes (3/4 hr) $65
60 minutes (1 hr) $70
75 minutes (1 ¼ hrs.) $75
90 minutes (1 ½ hrs.) $80
105 minutes (1 ¾ hrs.) $85
120 minutes (2 hrs.) $90
135 minutes (2 ¼ hrs.) $95
150 minutes (2 ½ hrs.) $100
*Solos are priced at $100/month for weekly sessions and $50/month for bi-weekly.
There is a 20% discount for families with more than one student enrolled. This discount is applied to your family's total tuition cost each month.
Tuition is based on an entire season of dance. Therefore, the tuition amount remains the same each month. It is not decreased in months when there are 3 practices, and it is not increased in months when there are 5 practices. Our 2026-27 will run from early September through early June. Tuition for September is due on or before the first day of class, then on the 1st of each subsequent month. Accounts not paid by the 10th of the month will be assessed a $15 late fee. Autopay is required for tuition. There are no surcharges or convenience fees. Automatic draft transactions will take place on the first business day of every month. It is your responsibility to be sure accounts are kept current and to contact us if you need to delay autopay for any reason. There will be no paper statements. All tuition is non-refundable.

Required costumes are listed under each class on our “Classes” page. Costumes are $85 each.
Costume payments will be charged to accounts with dues on October 1 (costume #1), December 1 (costume #2), and if necessary (costume #3) on February 1.
All monthly dues and costume fees must be paid in full to receive costumes. Costume fees are non-refundable - no exceptions.

A $75.00 recital fee is due per child each year. It can be paid anytime during the year, but is due by April 1. This fee helps support the various costs of putting on our recital, including, but not limited to, venue rental, venue staff, security, background rentals, lighting and sound costs, etc.

Fundraisers are not guaranteed, but possible if there is sufficient parent interest, participation, and support.
Policies
-
To make the most of each class, we will need to be sure to begin and end on schedule. We understand life happens, but if at all possible, please try to have your child appropriately dressed (see dress code) and ready for dance at the scheduled time. Since dance is a group effort, it is important to have each child at dance each week. It affects the entire group when someone is absent. Unless you are sick, please try your best to be at dance.
-
Proper attendance is an important part of any dance team. Dance is a group effort and we can’t do our best without the entire team consistently present. Please do your best to be at dance, unless you are sick. Please do not bring your student to dance if they are sick - even with a cold. All absences related to sickness will be excused.
-
All students at The Vine are expected to exude loving behavior, integrity, respect, and consideration for themselves and others at all times. Any student not following these guidelines will be corrected and counseled during class, and after 3 occurrences, a parent conference will be scheduled. The Vine reserves the right to dismiss any student who shows continued inappropriate behavior, or upsets the harmony of the classroom and company.
Dance is most enjoyable when everyone maintains positive, constructive attitudes. Negative, complaining, and nonparticipatory behavior will be respectfully counseled. Repeated occurrences will require a meeting with a parent/guardian.
-
The Vine is committed to providing a safe, caring, and respectful environment for all students and strictly enforces a prohibition against bullying, including cyber bullying. Bullying can take many forms and can occur in any setting. Bullying can include, but is not limited to, name calling or threatening, social alienation, spreading rumors and physical aggression. Any student who demonstrates any type of bullying behavior will be counseled, and a parent conference will be scheduled. First occurrence dismissal will be a decision of The Vine. A second occurrence of bullying will result in immediate dismissal.
We are a small studio, which typically makes it easy to keep up with any instance of bullying or a student seeming off or uncomfortable in some way, but instructors noticing things isn’t guaranteed. We always encourage students to come to us if anything makes them uncomfortable. We kindly ask that parents encourage them to do the same.
-
A written note or email of withdrawal is required one month in advance. Your account will be charged and you will be responsible for tuition until an official withdrawal note is given. All late fees will apply to unpaid accounts. If your child is withdrawn, please understand they will not be able to participate in any further performances or the recital.
-
The studio does not carry insurance to cover accidents that may happen while dancing. Students and parents understand that with any form of physical activity, there is an assumption of risk that the activity could result in injury. Parents must have their own insurance in the event an accident happens, whether in the dance room, the lobby, or at an event. The studio is not responsible financially for any accidents that may happen while at, or waiting for, dance.
-
Each family will have a customer portal to register, view your bill, process payments, etc. It is your responsibility to ensure all information is kept up to date (contact info, credit card/bank account info, etc.). You can enroll via the Login page on this website.
-
Please also make arrangements to pick your child up on time from class. No children are to be left unattended. Instructors are teaching classes and will be unable to watch unattended children. Please always drop off and pick up your student inside the studio lobby. At no point is any student allowed to wait outside. TVDC is not responsible for children left alone after class.
Late Pick Ups - Since our instructors are paid for their time at the studio, please do not make them wait after hours for pick-up. After 3 late pickups (of 10 minutes or more), there will be a $1/minute late pickup fee charged to your account.
-
Classes are closed to visitors, as we believe students learn more efficiently without in-classroom distractions. The lobby is open for parents who need to wait for their student. We ask that you please always speak with kindness and courtesy while waiting. Gossip and negative comments are not permitted. You are welcome to drop off your child and come back in to pick them up after dance practice if preferred.

Tuition will remain the same.
If there is an emergency or unexpected event that results in a closing, everyone will be notified, and make-up classes will be provided.
-
In inclement weather, The Vine Dance Company will routinely follow the Emanuel County School System's closings and will send notices via our text groups if we have to close.
-
Check the box in the studio lobby for lost and found items. The studio is not responsible for any lost belongings, including dance shoes and dance wear. Please check bags before leaving the studio and be sure to label all items.
